Money Monsters // MFA Thesis
Money Monsters is my MFA thesis project. I create a money management app which can be connected with a toy bank. You can use app to set a saving goals and manage money. I want to gamify the saving process and make money management more accessible for kids.
Capturing the mood of the music is the main goal of this project. I select the song “Teardrop”, which was a song produced by British Trip-Pop band, Massive Attack. The song was expressed by the shock of tragic drowning of a friend, as also a new star, Jeff Buckley.
For me, the song starting from a continuous heart beats, representing a metaphor of birth. With Fraser’s ethereal style vocal, I feel about the peace, but something touching deeply in my heart, and moving with the rhyme of the song. Twisting my soul like a path of rebirth. As a Graphic Designer, on the way of design, I face lots of struggling, failure and sometimes inspiration dries up but you cannot do anything with that. In my opinion, the road of design is a road of rebirth. The process is tough, but in the final, you will be fresh with a brave new life.
